Please help. My ex and I have been divorced for 1 yr. We purchased a home while we were married. Only his name is on the mortgage and equity loan. I was given the home in the divorce. He will not sign the mortgage to me and the lender refuses to even speak to me. I am trying desperately to save this home. He even took a third mortgage with my knowing before we were divorced.

Welcome charlie,

You will have to contact the lender and refinance the mortgage in order to take over the home loan. You will be able to refinance the mortgage only if you have equity in your property and have the required credit score and income.
