In April of 2011 we sold our mobile home with 2.5 acres on land contract. The couple who bought it are getting a divorce and giving it back to us. What do we need to do to officially nullify the contract that we have? Thanks.

Welcome Sara,

You will have to ask the couple to sign a quitclaim deed and legally transfer the property to you. If you had signed any contract with them, then you should contact an attorney and he will assist you in getting the contract nullified.

Hello sara,

A real estate installment selling arrangement whereby the buyer may use, occupy, and enjoy land, but no deed is given by the seller (so no title passes) until all or a specified part of the sale price has been paid. Same as contract for deed and installment land contract .
