They should be able to add a policy rider to cover loss of rent (usually about 6 mos). Most lenders require this coverage if you have a mortgage on the property.

You should talk to your insurance agent and he can help you out to obtain rent loss insurance. If he cannot help you, look for another insurance agent. Thanks, Larry

You will find the names of few insurance companies listed here at http://www.landlordassociation.org/insurance.html who offer rent loss insurance. Hope this helps you.
