DO I NEED AN ATTORNEY TO HELP ME THROUGH A DEED IN LIEU, OR CAN I DO A DEED IN LIEU MYSELF?

Hi,

You do not need the help of an attorney to do a deed in lieu of foreclosure. You can contact the lender and negotiate with them to allow you to do the deed in lieu. Also talk to the lender regarding how they are going to report the DIL to the credit bureaus and whether they will come after you for the deficiency.
