We have done the settlement last 2 weeks, we occupied the house, but yesterday, my realtor and settlement company called me saying that there is an error with tax amount that they used to calculate my monthly mortgage, that they mistakenly used the old tax amount, therefore making my monthly to rise about 125.00.
What are my rights and options about this? They should carefully examined that settlement HUD statement in order to avoid this bad experience.

Hi carlo,

It is unfortunate that your lender and the settlement company had made such an error which has resulted in the extra payments. However, I don't think there is anything you can do. You will have to pay the correct dues or else you would be considered as delinquent.

Thanks

true...it's unfortunate that errors are made that affect your monthly payment, but it's not all that unusual.
