| He is the main holder, and he is getting deported, he has also stopped pay for the home because of the deportation. I don't make a lot of money to pay for the house and he knows that, and he shows he isn't willing to pay for the house and wants it to foreclose. |

Hi rweidenfeller,
As a co-borrower, you are as much responsible for the loan as your boyfriend. So, if the house is foreclosed, your credit will take a hit. To get rid of the loan, you need to refinance in your name. But since you do not make much money to make the payments for the loan, a refinance does not seem to be a possible option for you. |

Hi Guest!
Welcome to forums!
You should make him understand that as the mortgage deed has his name, a foreclosure will badly effect his credit score. It would be better if you could put up the property for sale and then pay off the mortgage dues from the sale proceeds.
