My brother-in-law had a friend who is a license contractor do some work on the house. There was no written contract, just a verbil one. Can this contractor put a lien on his house if he has to signed contract?

Hi kcobra!

Welcome to forums!

If there is no written contract between you and the contractor, then it would be difficult for the contractor to place a lien on your property. A verbal agreement will not be taken into consideration while he tries to place a lien on your property.

Feel free to ask if you've further queries.
