I know that I will need to get your lender’s permission for the short sale and deed in lieu. I don’t have the skills to negotiate the short sale or deed in lieu. How do I find someone in Florida who is well qualified to do it for me? I’ve tried to call attorneys and real estate people and don’t get anywhere. I need to find someone that has been through the process to guide me. Thanks for all your help.

Hi papisalsa,

Negotiations are an important part of the deed in lieu agreement. Since your lender's approval is necessary for the deed in lieu, the agreement needs to have some clauses in favor of the lender. At the same time, it is also important that the borrower gets the best deal out of the bargain. It is best to involve a lawyer while drafting the agreement as he can make sure that the deed is in compliance with the statutes of law and it is advantageous to both parties.
