i want to do this dlf because our house has been for sale for 11 months and no offers...we are living with my parents now

people have to live somewhere. i'm quite sure there are landlords who are receiving rental payments from folk who used to own homes that they lost to foreclosure, deed in lieu of foreclosure, or short sale - and whose credit was damaged in the process.

student loans are another story, but you might be able to squeeze one out with the assistance of a co-signer. the student loan market could be a new source of trouble in the future, as loads of new lenders have entered the marketplace due to the lucrative nature of the loans. just think how much interest is generated in the coffers of lenders whose portfolios consist of who-knows-how-many students in forebearance or deferment?
