I've been divorced three years now,re- married for two years but yet my ex-wifes name i cant get off my mortgage.Even thought she's never made a payment on the house she's getting credit.I need to know how to get her off.

you need refinance the laon your name alone and thta will remove your ex's name from the loan

sherry ,

Apart from the loan refinance on your name alone , I do not find any alternative to this problem.Before refinancing make sure you are eligible for the refinance or else wait for some time once your loan amount gets reduced you will get more alternatives for refinancing.

I would think it is on the deed if she is on the mortgage, thats how it normally works.

if the mortgage company says u have a bad credit how does that work cos they wont let me have the mortgage on my own ans she hasnt paid a penny Sad

she also will sign it over for 2k but i cant get it on my own.. she does nt work or anything so her being on the mortgage doesnt help at all. were not together but want to be free of her from my house. is ther a legal document as she will sign it over for money until i get my credit rating up. reason iam asking is i have to do this before the house prices start to creep up.
