I am helping my father put together a hardship letter and list of expenses
We are attempting to get the bank to accept a short sale via reverse mortgage -
The bank rep is very hard to get a hold of, so I was hoping someone here could help with this question...
On the expense list...my father has fallen behind on nearly everything - and there are nearly a dozen bills...credit cards...water bill...etc - that he has NOT been paying on a monthly basis...so are these to be listed on the "expense list"? They are certainly bills...but not functioning as "expenses" at the moment?
Also...with the understanding this expense list is being submitted in the context of a short sale proposal...should I list the payment (he should be making) on the original loan as a monthly expense?
Thanks for your help

i have no expertise in this matter specifically, but i will express my opinion that these are, truly, expenses, whether he's been making payments regularly or not. and that includes the mortgage payment as well.
