im in the process of doing a deed in lieu of foreclosure i need to know if this jargan means that they are for giving the deficiency..
IT IS THE INTENT OF THE PARITES THAT THE FEE GRANTED HEREIN SHALL NOT MERGE WITH THE LIEN OF THE REAL ESTATE MORTGAGE FOR THE BENEFIT OF GRANTEE.

In case of a deed in lieu of foreclosure, the lender normally forgives the deficient balance. As far as the jargon is concerned, you should contact an attorney and he will help you to understand it in a better way in this regard.
