hi, i had a judgment placed on my credit in nov of 08 from a cc from about three years back. Of course they don’t want to work anything out even with my best efforts. i would however like to buy my first home. The house I am looking at was repossessed and is now owned by Freddie Mack if that makes a difference. other then the cc I have financed and paid for a truck in full as well as two motorcycles one in full and one that I have been paying on for two years without a missed payment. I also have a small cc I leave for resolving credit. Last I checked my score was about 535 but that was before paying off the truck. The house im looking at is listed for 135,000 and appraised at 210,000 I would like to finance 155,000 so I could pay off my motorcycle and have extra for appliances and things of that nature. Is there any way of making it work? The judgment is for 2600 but they somehow swear I owe them 5800 and refuse to send me paper work showing why so im not going to pay them in double just on their word. If the loan would work any idea what down payment would need? Also if it helps i make 4800 a month and have about 700 of bills right now which if I could roll my bike payment in would put me at only 300 plus the house. Thanks for your help

Hi craigslist,

With a judgment on your credit report, it would be difficult for you to get a mortgage. Moreover, you need to check out what your present score is like. The minimum credit score required to get a FHA loan is 620. In case, if you're planning for a conventional loan, you would require a credit score of 720-740.

I would suggest you to clear off the issue regarding judgment. You can contact a lawyer and he can deal with your creditor so that you can pay off the dues.
