I really need help in keeping my house. I fell very behind on my mortgage and am now in foreclosure. My current mortgage is through aurora loans. They pretty much are not willing to give me another chance unless I give $10,000. I do not have that to give so my house is up for foreclosure on July 20. I need a company to give my family another chance. We can afford a monthly payment now and really do not want to lose our house. If someone can give me a way to keep our house it would be so appreciated

Welcome megan,

You should immediately apply for a loan modification with your lender. If the lender accepts your request, then you would get a better payment plan to pay off the dues. The interest rates to pay off the loan will be reduced and your term of loan payments would be extended.

If you've defaulted your mortgage payments and want a modification, then it is your current lender who can help you. Other lenders will not be able to help you in this regard.

Hi we are currently in a house that we were buying from my father in law as an owner/finance. He wants off the mortgage and our credit score is not approved for a home loan. We have been in this house for over 3 years and have made every payment on time. IS there anyone that buys mortgages and allows you to stay in the home? please help he is ready to just let it go to foreclosure.

My mtg with American home mtg co - Bank of New York mellon-
I have been requesting a modification since Feb of 2011. They denied me in Oct due to NPV value, stating that I had too much equity. They qualified me for the unemployment hamp for 3 months. When I started my new job they would then put me on the making home affordable plan. I have been making the modified payment every month since Feb. but the 3 months plus late fees every month are showing me 7 months behind. Last month I rec a letter that the were going to review again. Now they are sending my payments back. Stating that tehy need 7000.00. The modidfication review is going to take another month.

Hi Lisa,

You should contact your lender and check out as to why they are sending your payments back. You should also ask them to report your payments correctly so that it doesn't show you as 7 months late on your payments.

Thanks
