Can a lien be put on your home or property due to medical bills? If so, would a person be able to deed the property to another person, legally?

if you have bills that are unpaid, the creditor(s) in question would first bring suit against you (small claims court, in all probability). in that instance, you'd be given an order to pay some certain sum of money per month. the creditor could then file a lien on your home, assuring themselves of payment eventually. of course, if you simply pay according to the terms issued by the court, you'll never be in such jeopardy.

deeding the property to another to avoid a creditor isn't kosher.
