I have a 2nd mortgage. Approx. $40,000 - Today's date is 3-10-10. Called the 2nd mortgage co. Citi and asked them about the loan. They told me it was written off mid 2008.

I had filed a Ch. 7 on this morgage years before and never did reaffirm the debt.

Also this loan does NOT show up on my credit report. However I am sure it is stillshowing as a lien on my home title... I would guess.

Any way to remove it?

Hi kevin,

If the loan has been written off by the lender, then there should not be any lien on the property. You should speak to your lender and ask him to give you a lien release certificate so that you hold the home title free and clear.

Thanks

That does sound to good to be true. Worth while checking.

Thanks,
Kevin
