Should I fall behind on payment earlier to speed up mortgage modification process

Posted on: 22nd Oct, 2010 09:31 am
Hi
I filed mortgage modification March 2010 through an
agency. Lender was Countrywide, now absorbed to Bank
of America. I didn't hear anything until I was requested
to send the same document with some additional proofs July 2010. Then I sent it right away but I haven't heard
anything so far. Nothing for almost 8 months.

I have been struggling very hard to borrow money because I don't want to
fall behind on payment to show them my sustainability. Should I skip payment to get their early attention? Anyway I cant not borrow money
anymore.

I am so frustrated. Anyone out there to help me Please.
From what you've stated here, it appears that your payments are up-to-date. Ordinarily, in that situation, lenders cannot help you because they can't see that you need the help. I suppose, given that, it would be beneficial for you to begin making late payments so as to get their attention.
