I am going to ask for a loan modication. The home is under my name as my sole and seperate property and he did sign a quit claim deed. Do I have to include my husband's income when applying for the modifcation?

Hi,

Your husband's income will not be required unless he's on the mortgage loan. He signed the quitclaim deed and released his ownership. He no longer has any rights to the home. But in case his name is on the mortgage, you'll have to include his income while applying for loan modification. Otherwise, his income doesn't have to be included in order to determine your eligibility for the modification.
