my friend bought a house with his girlfriend 5 years ago. they broke up 2 years ago and she moved out. They are both on the mortgage deed. she does not pay any of the bills including the mortgage but has now decided to move back in. she refuses to sign a quit claim deed and he has to file for partition. now she has informed him she is taking over the house and moving in roomates. is there anything he can do?... is there anything he can do to prevent her from moving back in while the partition is pending?

Hi Guest!

Welcome to forums!

As the girlfriend's name is on the property deed, she has equal rights over the property and can move in roommates. However, as there is a partition law suit pending, I would suggest your friend to have a word with his attorney and take his opinion in this regard.

Feel free to ask if you've further queries.
