My ex husband and I own a home together in Kansas. He was awarded the house in the divorce and has made all payments on time since the divorce. His credit, however, is horrible and he is unable to obtain financing in his name alone. So my name remains on the mortgage even though I've had nothing to do with the mortgage for a year and he claims it on his income tax. . He is now in financial trouble and is unable to sell the house. He is talking of filing bankruptcy. My credit is excellent. How will this effect me and is there anything I can do to protect myself from the fallout of his situation?
