If your name is on the mortgage, you are liable to pay off the loan in full. In order to get rid of your obligation towards the mortgage, you need to get the loan refinanced in your girlfriend's name. If she has good credit and enough income to qualify, she can refinance the loan in her name and release you from the mortgage obligation.
