Couldn't tell you off hand but from my what I've been told is the best way to go about a loan modification is through the company that currently holds your mortgage if possible.

Welcome to the forum.

I this is soem third party company who is askign you to pay $2000/- to get your loan modified, do nto evene talk to them.

There have been lot of fraud cases where peopel take money and nothign happnes.

You will be better off talkign to your lender and exlpakign them yoru situation.

Also write them a financial hardship letter explaing your situation and you will find a sample letter on thsi forum.

Good luck and feel free to ask.
