Hi abigale,

The housing choice voucher program is one of the major programs of federal government for assisting the elderly, the disabled and people who have a very low-income. This program will help them to afford decent, safe, and sanitary housing. You will have to apply for the housing choice vouchers programs to the public housing agency of your area and check if you qualify for it. You can get the contact information of the public housing agency from http://www.hud.gov/offices/pih/pha/contacts/ .

For further information regarding section 8 housing program, check out the given link:

Hi tommy!

Welcome to forums!

As far as I know, a family can qualify in order to receive Section 8 housing benefit. However, the annual income plus income from assets should not exceed the income limits as per mentioned in the Section 8 Voucher Program. You can contact the local PHA and check out whether or not you would qualify for Section 8 depending upon the above mentioned circumstances.

Feel free to ask if you've further queries.
