Hi,
You can take your appliances, I believe. You have short sold your house, not your appliances. The appliances are part of your personal property and you can take them with you. |

your appliance desires should have been made known before the sale took place - does your buyer expect to have appliances in place when taking occupancy? _________________ George M. Akerley

well, gabby, i think you're not going to be able to take them, then. the buyer undoubtedly assumed that the appliances were part of the deal. you should specifically state in a contract what stays and what goes when you're selling, so that there would be no question. in my experience, appliances are typically part of the purchase. the last house i sold had a brand-new refrigerator in it; i would have loved not to have to left the house without one, but it was taken for granted that a refrigerator would be included. _________________ George M.
