ok, i just broke it off with my x and we own a house together. here is the deal he is trying to sell the house short sale. Can he do that without me signing anything?

Welcome to forums!

If your name is mentioned on the property deed, then he cannot simply go ahead with the short sale process. When the property is transferred to the lender, your signatures would also be required.

property is not "transferred to the lender" in a short sale.

all owners must participate in a sale of property.

Hi,

I amactually somewhere getting confused in what is right as, is it right to trasfered it to the lender or it can be done by providing your signatures, as I have heard of second thing and it will be helpful for me if you let me know about this.

Hi snvservices,

As George has said, the property is not transferred to the lender in case of a short sale. As far as signatures are concerned, you will have to sign the property deed and transfer ownership when you're selling off the property.
