My sister is temporary out of work due to surgery. In this time she will lose everything she had worked for and none of the companies she owes money (mortgage, eecu, or credit card companies) will help her. what can she do?

Lil S, does she have no insurance? Can she make any sort of promises to any of her creditors? And I may already know the answer to that question, but ask anyway. It's hard to believe that nobody will try to work out a solution with her - forbearance for example that will allow for a period of time during which the mortgage lender, for example, would expect no payments to be made.

She has Medical and house insurance. They do not want to work with her. She has excellent credit! We as taxpapers paid our financial institutions out but they cannot and will not help us when we need it. She can make her payments as soon as she goes back to work when dr releases her.

I meant we bailed them out, but they will not help us.

Hi lynng,

Did the insurance company give you any reason as to why they won't help your sister?

Thanks

Good question...there has to be some sort of explanation from the insurers.
