we sold a house on a 4 year land contract in michigan about a1 1/2 years ago. The husband passed away in dec. and we have not recieved payment since. We gave her another month to get things settled after her husbands death but she is now 4 months behind on her monthy payments and has not paid the taxes . Her insurance lapsed in november. My husband and i have 8 kids and only one income ourselves and ae afraid we will not be able to catch up now.

guest, i presume that you are still the owners of this parcel of land. that being the case, you would definitely owe the taxes that are due. if title has passed along to your borrower, then you'll not be responsible for payment.
