I submitted every form ( and more) requested for a loan modification back in December. They are now just looking at it as of April 9/09. They have filed foreclosure on June 2/09, and say they will extend that date if they do not modify or come to an arrangement by then. Has anyone had any success getting a loan modified with Wells Fargo? in Texas?

I would appreciate any input or comments.

Hi laura,

Frankly speaking, I do not have a personal experience in this regard. But I would suggest you to keep in touch with the Loss Mitigation Department of Wells Fargo and check whether they will offer you loan modification or not. If you have written a proper hardship letter stating your hardships while paying off the loan, I think they will accept your request.

I submitted all paperwork in a timely manner and began the process last August. I just received notification that I was not eligible- it was unclear as to why. I also paid each trial payment ahead of schedule.
Now, I am behind in my mortgage payment.

I am annoyed that the process took so long-
probably cost about 150$ faxing documents-
took so much time...
I must have faxed them about 150 documents, after all was said and done.

You should immediately contact your lender and check out why you did not qualify for a modification. Your lender will explain the reasons to you. You may negotiate with your lender and refile your modification request in order to save your property.
