property/transfer title etc..

my father passed and i need help trying to transfer his property and title to my name iam out of state do i need an instate lawyer or outstate lawyer.what do i need to file and how to get started.

Has your father prepared any Will? in that case you'll have to consult a lawyer and get a probate done on the Will. Obviously an instate lawyer would help as laws vary from state to state.

my father-inlaw wants to transfer his condo titel to my name. Can he just do it?

Your father can quitclaim the condo to you. If there is any lien on the property then it should be better to pay it off before quitclaiming the property to you.
