Like 0 Dislike 0 My husband and I are thinking about filing Bk because of credit card dedit we have a payment on our home we live in. We have a other property that is free and clear because it is all on our current home. If you transfer the property ownership just before filing bankruptcy, then it will be considered as fraudulent. You can file bankruptcy after 1 year passes since the property transfer.
