My husband's parents were divorceed 30 years ago. In the divorce settlement, his mother was awarded the house. His father moved out for about 5 years, but then moved back in, and his mother and my hsuband moved out. For the past 25 years, he has made the mortgage payments and done all the upkeep on the house. Does he have any legal right to the property now?

Hi Lynette!

Welcome to forums!

If your husband's name is not mentioned on the property deed, then he legally doesn't have a claim on the property.

Feel free to ask if you've further queries.
