Hi,
Can anyone help me understand below thanks much:
Husband is only person in home mortgage, home title joint tenants husband & wife, now selling their home & same time buying new home also joint tenants title but only husband name on mortgage.
1) why husband ask wife to quitclaim their home two weeks before closed escrows on both houses?
2) What's common normal process of above circumstances?
Thanks

Hi GraceV,

If the wife transfers her share of the property to the husband, then the husband will become the sole owner of the property. It may become easier for the husband to sell off the old property. However, it is surprising that the husband has asked the wife to transfer her share in the new property as well. The wife should ask the husband about the reason.

Thanks
