My husband and I are separated. On the mortgage papers the title is indicated as held jointly, but I am listed as the sole borrower because he had poor credit when we last refinanced. Can I ask him to quit claim the house to me?

Hi vanthony!

Welcome to forums!

You can ask your husband to sign a quitclaim deed and transfer the property to you. This will make you the sole owner of the property. However, it'll be your husband's discretion whether or not he will transfer his share to you.

Feel free to ask if you've further queries.
