hi there,

well my situation is a little weird. i bought a mobile home from a lady and she signed the title over to me. 5 years later i am now ready to sell if and come to find out i never knew that i had to have the title transfered to my name i just thought i had the title i am good to go. i have been property paying taxes on the mobile home. now i want to get a title how is that process going to go? i know that with wv after doing research there is a 5% tax on the amount you paid for the transfere of the title. would this still be true

Hi snmnstrgrl,

It is true that you will have to get the title of the property transferred in your name in order to claim the ownership of the property. Paying property taxes won't be of any help in this matter. You should contact a real estate attorney and take his opinion in this matter. He will guide you in this matter.
