Hi, my husband's father passed on without making a will. His mother's name does not appear on the deed. Can anything be done so that she can leave the house to him after her passing?

Hi jmc,

Your husband's mother should file an affidavit of heirship and transfer the property in her name. Then she can sign a quitclaim deed and transfer the property to your husband. This will make him the owner of the property.
