Deed & mortgage to my house in my parents name, can I loose my house if they go into a nursing home?

Guest	Posted: Wed Jul 06, 2011 4:51 pm    Post subject: Deed & mortgage to my house in my parents name, can I lo Like 0 Dislike 0 7yrs ago my credit was only fair so my parents put the mortgage & deed in their name. I live here & have pd the mortgage for 7yrs. I want to do a quit deed to get the deed out of their name into mine to protect my house from being taken by the state, the mortgage can stay in their name since I've been paying it all this time. What is the worse the mortgage co can do if the deed is in my name but the pmts are made each month on time?

If the payments are made on time each month, then the mortgage company won't come after you. But it is always a better option to refinance the mortgage in your name.
