My husband and I are purchasing a home in Texas. The seller is purchasing a Title Insurance policy for us. We want to have the home's title as joint tenents w/rights of survivorship as part of the home's title. The title company will not let me put joint tenents w/rights of survivorship on my home title and still write a title policy for us. Does anyone have an answer as to why Texas is like this? Thanks

Hi phuber,

I haven't heard if any such law in Texas. Nevertheless, it will be better if you could contact an attorney based in Texas and take his opinion in this matter.

Thanks
