Hi athomas,

Who wants to qualify for the first time home buyer's assistance - you or your grandmother? If the person asking for first time home buyer's assistance did not own a home for the last 3 years, then there's a chance of qualifying. It's better to contact your lender and check out his opinion in this matter.

Thanks

Honestly, the topic doesn't quite go with the text of the question.

Please clarify this, AThomas...it's hard to tell what it is you're actually trying to determine.

If Grandmother has enough equity, she can repair her home from the proceeds of a Reverse Mortgage, and then sell her house.

Raymond....what's this? "Marijuanainsuranceagent.com"??? I'm almost afraid to click on the link. I know you're in Cali and that you have medical marijuana laws, but I'm just befuddled...even more so to think that it might have something to do with mortgage lending. Did you simply misspell something or am I in a hallucinatory haze (a flashback?)? Oh my.

You read it right, George. I'm licensed by California's department of insurance and offer every type of insurance program available for the medical marijuana industry. The Doctors and Lawyers require special liability insurance, dispensary's and growers require Workers' Compensation for their employees, etc. It's a whole new industry, and I'm in at the ground floor. You're right though, it's not about mortgages, so I'll change the link.

I definitely wasn't being critical, Raymond....just curious because it looked out of place. Sometimes what looks out of place is actually precisely where it needs to be. Obviously, medical marijuana, although a controversial topic, is here to stay, and the more that is known, the better.

As for it being "not about mortgages," what do you think Word of Excellence is? I began it as an editing/proofreading business, expanded it eventually to all aspects of writing, publishing, etc. and I suppose I'm now using it as a cover for this intrepid work on MortgageFit.

I won't be joining a mortgage lender anytime soon, that's for sure; though I'm working on the possibility of hooking up with a banking institution again shortly.

Frankly, most of the banks out there need my expertise.
