We live in Idaho, my wife owned the house before we were married it was in her name.

We refinanced the house today and at the closing I was asked to sign a quit claim deed, I did and am regretting it now.

We wanted the mortgage in my wifes name but the house in both.

Did I make a big mistake? How do we undo this?

Hi Guest,

As you signed a quitclaim deed and transferred the property to your wife, she is the sole owner of the property now. If you want to add your name to the property deed, then you should ask your wife to sign a quitclaim deed and add you back to the deed.
