I have lived and have paid the mortgage for over ten years, I am liable for the loan on the house, but I am not on the deed. How can I be put on the deed?

Hi kpuchtler,

You will have to ask the present owner of the property to sign a quitclaim deed and add your name to the property deed.

Hello kpuchtler welcome to the forum.

Contact a closing company or a real estate attorney and they can draw up all the paper work you need to be put on the deed through a quitclaim deed, one question I have is why have you been paying for a mortgage for the last 10 years when you're not on the deed? Is the owner okay with putting you on the deed?

Good luck.
