I have just sent in an affadavit for succession of real property for some some raw land he owned. Now, I just found a quit claim deed giving this property acerage to my brother in law. The quitclaim deed transferred the property to your brother-in-law and the deed has already been recorded. In such a situation, your brother-in-law is the owner of the property. (its sheer luck I found it) Does that still make it valid, or can I file my affadavit for succession and get in there first. Or do I have a court date in my future.
