2 unmrried adults own as joint tenants. when one dies does the survivor get the home, or does his half go to his heirs? the deed did not say 'with rights of survivorship". this is in Nevada

Hi lynn,

If the deed mentions the clause of joint tenancy with right of survivorship, then the survivor will get the property after one of the owners die. However, if the clause of "right of survivorship" is not mentioned then the heirs of the deceased person will be able to claim the property.

Thanks,

Jerry
