My mother passed away the end of october - I am the personal rep per her Will. My father passed away 15 yrs ago. As I am going through the papers I found a Quit Claim Deed for the house which lists my mother's name and my aunt's name stating "as joint-tenants with rights of survivorship". Does this mean now that my mother has passed the house is owned by my aunt? This deed is dated after my father's death. Thanks.

Hi cindya,

As your mother and your aunt shared a quitclaim deed stated "as joint-tenants with rights of survivorship", your aunt will now be considered as the owner of the property.

Thanks
