My sisters and I bought property together in April. I was unable to go to the closing because I had just opened a new business a week earlier. What steps do I take to put my name on the deed with theirs. Thank you!

Hi missduffie,

You will have to ask your sister to sign a quitclaim deed and add your name to the property deed. Once she does so, you would be considered as one of the co-owners of the property.

Thanks

hi missduffie,

you can add your name to the title of the property with the help of a quitclaim deed. Your sister needs to fill out a quitclaim deed giving you the ownership rights to the property.
