Like 0 Dislike 0 How do i add someone to my deed as part owner of my home?...A friend and i are purchasing a home together, but it's in my name. How do i give her part ownership? We live in the state of South Carolina.

You are only adding a person to the property deed and not to the mortgage. If the mortgage is paid on time, then the person whose name is on the mortgage will find it reported in his credit report. Your father's name should be mentioned as the grantor and your name and your father's name should be mentioned as the grantee in the deed, This will make you an owner of the property along with your father.
