welcome to mortgagefit

Changing the ownership of the property will not affect in any manner to the mortgage company. But if you are changing the name on mortgage (refinancing, adding) then you need to get it done with consent from the mortgage company only.

keep in touch......

As the property has been transferred in your name, the mortgage company may ask you to refinance the loan in your name.
