| Our father died and his house is still in his name and our mothers name and she died years ago. How do we take thier names off and put our names on the deed? |

Hi lifeisgrand,
Has your deceased father leave any will? If he did, the property will be probated and it will be distributed as per the will. If there is no will, you will have to file an affidavit of heirship with the probate court. The property will then be transferred to his successors according to the laws of intestacy. |

you need to submit a death certificate of your father to your county's court in order to transfer the heirship records on your name.this is the right procedure if you are dealing with no will scenario.
