Susu Guest	Posted: Fri Nov 11, 2011 9:29 am    Post subject: Affidavit vs Declaration of heirs (copyright infringement) Like 0 Dislike 0 My sisters myself and brother are heirs to our grandfathers work (mothers side), he was a composer who copyright all his published and unpublished works. I've been told that a declaration of heirs needs to be filed per heir for publishing company to claim royalties and have ownership of his catalog, etc. Do we use affidavit or declaration? whats the difference and process? Publishing company is out of NY, grand father resided in PR. Any info will be appreciated. Thanks

But as far as I know, you will have to file an affidavit of declaration.
