I had my brother name placed on my deed. I was unaware that he had serious outstanding debt including thousands of dolloars owed to the government (pheaa, irs, etc...) I now want his name off of the deed but he refuses to sign papers to have his name removed from the deed. The mortagage/finance company is solely in my name with no other names on the mortgage. How can I get his name off of the deed without his signature and/or knowledge of him knowing that his name is going off of the deed?

You can not take his name off the deed without his knowing about it and you need his signature to do it.

That is unfortunate and the problem occurs because of something you were unaware of when you added him to the deed.
