The title of the house that me and my husband live now, is only in his name. Does that excludes me from the ownership? Is it very important that I get my name added to the title?

Hi,

If you name is mentioned on property deed, that means you have ownership of property. Now if your both on property deed that means you are not sole owner of property.

Thanks & Regards.

Hi Mia,

If the property deed does not have your name, then you would not be considered as the owner of the property. If you want ownership of the property, then it is important to add your name to the deed.
